what do you see

when you close your eyes

in this physical domain we call...

Reality?

we have all unconsciously become transfixed by what we see... or rather think... we see.

and adding even more challenges in our life... what we desire to see or wish not to... see.

always driven to capture that special something we believe is something worth holding onto

and all the while on this quest to attain and gain

we somehow miss seeing the biggest and most important things in the smallest packages or in simply... nothing at all

now imagine your mind when you… sleep

the many things you seem to see that you cannot remember or hold onto

sometimes desperately trying to bring something back from that other side... the deepest divide in our lives

a place where we spend half of our life

forever fleeting moments in our dreamscapes filled with seemingly endless familiar and unfamiliar places...

a visual symphony of memories as real as this thing you call... reality.

yet nothing seems to be remembered... attained or gained from that other side

try and try as much as you have... tried

nothing but... the same old memories dreams and reflections forgotten once again into yet another... twilight zone

now imagine seeing everything in nothing at all?

and...

ever since i can remember... was forever so fascinated by what i saw when closing [my] eyes

a far more realistic reality than the reality we call reality... h[ear] now.

ground zero... a place where the fabric of space vibrates and speaks to us all

fixed images... like a single word or a number becomes empty and meaningless if one attempts to grasp iT long enough in the prism of the mind

like hearing an exquisite musical note held in the air... or experiencing a sweet scent that you cannot hold onto

art to me should be as free and almost impossible to grasp and perpetually open to interpretation by each and every viewer

much like The Perceiver in Quantum Physics when looking at an atomic structure in the lattice matrix of space.

iT... disappears and reappears where iT is not being perceived by one holding the perception of iT

imagine seeing something in nothing?

it happens all the time.

when we look up to the clouds or look out across an open field with a clear mind... so much appears and disappears it's sometimes difficult to believe in what we think is... really real.

similar to when we close our eyes they seem to open up to a magical landscape [on the other side] within self where memories are generated of what once was and can be in a field of pure potentiality within each of us

and this has always been what was naturally driven to be expressed through... me

always driven to create a universal field or screen projecting the non-image

THE NON-PAINTING

that seems to emit and inspire imagery within one's unconscious subconscious [conscious] mind

to feel the periphery and allow that peripheral image to come into sharp focus within one's mind

in my art... i too "reject the image" in order to capture every image that you may wish to see for your own self

to refuse anything that seems to be anything recognizable on this physical plane

yet driven to unfold the unseen

that cannot be seen with physical eyes

and only perceived by the mind's eye

to feel the periphery

to see…
